MUSIC:
The music is the same as we have used for years--- CAROLS FOR A MERRYTUBACHRISTMAS, so bring your book from last year , or books may be purchased at the event for $15. (or $18 by mail or internet) The book contains 33 familiar Christmas Carols arranged by Rochester's own Alex Wilder in 4-part harmony for tuba-euphonium choirs. The music is Bass Clef, but a Treble clef euphonium book is also available. ;The bass clef book contains high and low euphonium, and high and low Tuba (score form, two parts on two staves)
The regular $15 bass and treble books are march sized (8.5x5.5) mailed
A LARGE PRINT version 8.5 x 11 is $23 mailed.

EASY VERSION
All the songs we play have a simplified version (mostly whole and half notes)
THE EASY VERSION IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION. It is available in Easy Tuba, Easy Euph Bass Clef, and Easy Euph Treble Clef at $3 each and may be copied.
For easy versions (and for advance purchase of regular books after the National Office closes 2 December 2009), Contact Joe Baker 77 Boardman St Rochester NY 14607
jbaker@rochestertubachristmas.com (585) 244-4015

Normally, we play songs number 1 to 20, in order, leaving out # 2,12,and 18. Players unfamiliar with reading two parts written on two staves of music may wish to yellow highlight the notes they plan on playing---it takes a little getting used to.
One rule is "do no harm". Leave out high notes and runs you can't play.
In the concert you will be asked to sit together with others playing the same part. Although the music for all 4 parts is there, you should play only the part played by the group you are seated with.
Another rule is DON'T LOOK Back. If you missed it, its gone. You can get it next TubaChristmas
